Hello friends!
Summer has been wonderful and we finally find ourselves playing a show in our home town!
We just got home from a two-week tour out on the East coast. It was hot and sticky out there but it was wonderful to visit our friends
and to reconnect with a vibe much different than the California soul we grew up on.
This weekend has us playing in Sacramento and San Rafael.
We will be joined by two of my great friends, Adam Galblum, and Lex Razon.
Adam is flying out from Denver, where he resides, to play fiddle and mandolin with us both nights. He plays with a band called White Water Ramble out of Colorado.
Adam and I met when we both lived in Lawrence, Kansas and played in the KU orchestra. We've stayed close through the years and he recently played a whole show with Hot Buttered Rum in Colorado. It will be a blast to play a string band show in Sacramento!
Lex Razon joins us for the second set in San Rafael. Lex is the drummer from the band, Vinyl, a Latin-funk powerhouse from the Bay Area. He will bring a powerful rhythmic take to our music which will get the booties shaking!
