Every show is a point of focus for HBR. However, our hometown shows are something especially special. We only get to do about one San Francisco show a year, so we make it an occasion for a landmark show, a snapshot of what our year in music is about.
This October 4th at the Independent is going to be such a snapshot on a special night. This is one of the best weekends in San Francisco, Hardly Strictly weekend. We’ve played this awesome festival something like three times; this year we wanted to be part of the city’s energy but play a full length show. We’re going to emphasize special surprise guests and there are a lots of great pickers in town, so who knows who might come down. Front Country is opening–we’ve been very impressed with them and look forward to turning on our friends and fans to them. We’re going to dust off some old tunes and show off some new ones.
